Eilidh Duncan, 20, from Dullatur is joining Farm Stock as a Trainee Livestock Procurement Officer and will be covering the Central Belt from the end of July.
Brought up on a farm and still living at home on the family farm between Stirling and Glasgow, Eilidh is continuing the family tradition and now growing her own sheep flock of Blackface, Scotch Mules and crossing Bluefaced Leicesters. She has a good knowledge of the industry after studying Agriculture at college and has helped on the farm breeding and producing prime stock.
In her spare time Eilidh enjoys a wide variety of hobbies including competing in Tug of War in shows including coming 3rd at this years Highland Show for Clyde and Central Young Farmers Club and is also known for making the occasional Shepherds crook.
A delighted Eilidh explained “I’m so excited to be joining a team of dedicated Procurement Officers who work together to get the best outcome for farmers. “ I can’t wait to get out in my own area and help the farmers get the best price possible for all the hard work they do”.
