Beef

With the cereal harvest commencing the beef trade is still under pressure due to the hot weather last month stifling consumer demand for beef joints. Increased volumes of Polish manufacturing beef are swamping the European Market and have put pressure on markets for cull cows and poorer cutting cattle. Changes in Polish ritual slaughtering regulations have halted their exports to the Middle East, so they are looking to sell cheap beef to anyone who will buy it.  Farm Stock deals with a wide range of outlets, so whatever the trade, or type of cattle you wish to sell, we can find the best outlet for your stock, at the best price available. The store cattle trend remains firm, if you have any ready, why not give us a try?

Lamb

The end of the Muslim Ramadan Festival and the start of Eid has seen the continued firming of the trade, after the record falls seen last month, prices are still very variable around 400-410p/kg. With many producers weaning at the moment, numbers are still very good. If you are looking to increase your cashflow we have several outlets looking for both light weight lambs (8-14kg) or store lambs. We also have increasing numbers of breeding stock available if you are looking to procure replacements ahead of the breeding season. Give us a ring in the office to discuss your requirements.

Organic

The market remains less volatile for the organic red meat sector with lambs around 425p/kg and cattle 525p/kg. We have a steady demand for store cattle and breeding sheep so contact the office for more information.
